Did you know most courses open the Saturday before the official Monday semester start day?
This lets you get a jump on at least the “ice breaker” assignments that are invariably included in Week 1, even if the following week modules are locked until the week before. Some courses have modules that are not locked through the whole 14 weeks, so you can read through to see what is ahead of you. This gives you time to prepare yourself for what’s coming or to study up before you decide whether to continue on with the course or drop it before the deadline.
If the course you want is waitlisted, get on that list!
I have always gotten into the courses from waitlists, and I have NEVER heard of anyone NOT getting into a course from a waitlist! There is always a tiny possibility, but you can always drop if you do get in and don’t want to keep the course in your schedule. The downside is you can only waitlist for one instructor/course at a time.
Many people will ask in this type of group about instructors and course information…
However, I have created a searchable, growing database accessible from another webpage I made on this site, based on a spreadsheet someone a few years before me put together and later info gleaned from this and other school groups.
It contains NO ADS! And I promise it will remain with no ads as long as I am alive! Sometimes it is a little slow to lead due to the cheap shared hosting account I use. I am working on a solution to that issue for two main reasons: it’s built using something I learned long ago, so I want to redo it with newer, better technology, and I want to include it in my portfolio/online resume.
If anyone would like to share any insights for any courses and/or instructors, feel free to PM me and I will add them to the site.
